No. A laptop screen is made up in a specific matrix, ie: 1024 x 768. These are individual electronically addressed and controlled spots on the screen. A CRT monitor is scanned with an electron beam that is adjustable to many different resolutions. The laptop is a fixed matrix and a fixed resolution. That resolution is incorporated into the entire design of the computer so you can't change out the display screen. Sorry.

It is possible to do so, but also understand that your display has limitations as well - refresh rates and pixel display. Also, it isn't a simple task to install a new graphics card into a laptop.
If you choose to do so, make sure the card will give you what you are looking for by looking up what your screen will support. Otherwise, you'll just be wasting your time.

right click a blank spot on your screen, click Properties, click Settings, go to the slider that shows the resolution, click it as far to the right as it will go. Click apply..
It will then go to the res you set.. if this looks good, and works for you, keep it, otherwise, put it back how it was.

No, most of the Laptops don't have a bigger resolution. You can try to change it, but if there is no option then you can't.
