It sure looks that way.

Incidentally, the Pope wasn't the author of that comment. He was quoting someone else. Here it is:

"Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.”
- Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Paleologus

True to form, extremist Muslims around the world immediately declared that "Followers of the Cross will be destroyed."

It would be funny if it weren't so sad.

The derogatory feedback of the Pope regarding the philosophy of jihad and Prophet Mohammed have injured sentiments around the Muslim worldwide and pose the threat of spreading acrimony between the religions The feedback do no longer show superb understand-how of Islam and are in user-friendly terms incorrect and distorted ideals being repeated interior the West. i'm extremely astonished that such feedback come from somebody who sits on precise of the Catholic church which has its effect on the many times used public opinion interior the West Muslims have the superb to be indignant and harm with the aid of those comments from the optimal cleric in Christianity

The Pope did not say that Islam was violent. He said that a Byzantine King questionned the validity of a religion that uses the concept of jihad to convert people to its beliefs.

I personally do, I think that they have proven their violent sides, and their ignorance. They are all violent wether sunis or jihads they have it deep down inside of them whether they are trying to say that they are not violent, because they pretend that Islam is a religion of peace, I think that eventually it will get to a point where they will all get wiped out. because that is what they are looking for. They love the feeling of death to get holy bimbos.

He meant what he said coz he knew this way he was going to encourage hatred and division. If u are part of a minority or in this case muslim u know that a comment like this causes people to judge u unfairly..

Would u be so relaxed after some one slanders on u or ur community that puts u in danger???
