Machines and pollution. The XX century saw the birth of the automobile, mechanized war, mechanized manufacture, electricity, planes, rockets, television, computers and robots. The waste of all this has caused a great deal of pollution. We are starting to realize and working (not hard enough) to reduce the levels of pollution.
