Time will help you do that. You will go through stages. Allow yourself to grieve but don't get stuck in that stage. Eventually you will feel the need to put you life back in order and start doing nice things for yourself. Keep your self-esteem up. Read books about relationships, coping after divorce and self-esteem. As long as you slowly allow yourself to move forward you will get there! Make sure to keep in touch with your friends during all this or when you feel ready go out and make some new ones. They will help you get through,.

You just simply have no choice but to move on. The others said: time is the best healer and keeping busy. That does work, because it happened to me. I divorced after 23 years of marriage and had three children. I never worked a day in my life. I was always the house-wife that stayed at home to be their for her children and him. It makes me sick when I hear of people getting divorced. I also think its harder on the woman instead of the man. You probably have children to raise and need a place to live that you can't afford. I know how tough it can be. I wished I could say something else to make your pain go away but its time you need, and don't hold back your emotions.....that can be damaging to you later on down the road, should you choose to date someone. Remember, that your not ever alone. There is someone that has been through the same thing if not worse than you or me.

You need to change the focus in your life. Look at it as a chance to meet new people and experience things you never tried. Join a club or group.....maybe do some volunteer work? Just do something that involves being around other people. This will give you the opportunity to make new acquaintances and take your mind off the past.
Best wishes to you!!!

I have never been married, but was in a very long relationship and what helped me get over it was finding a different avenue that kept my mind off of the whole situation. Time is the only REAL cure for "getting over it", but what you do with the time really makes the difference.

It wouldn't be easy, I know. Learn to accept the fact that you are no longer together. Don't hide yourself in your room. Go out and meet new people. Keep yourself busy. And don't linger on the pain. As they say, time heals all wounds...

The only thing to do is to allow yourself to go through all of your emotions and deal with it. Time is really the only thing that will help.
