OK - truth now - I would call the owners, tell them I found the money and give it back. Reason: We all have our price, I know. But $5000 wouldn't make me rich and it just might be the owner's last money in the world. Anyway, you would certainly feel better after returning the money, than you would by trying to forget you knew who it belonged to. This is strictly my opinion however.

Return it to the owner. When I worked at Walmart and I found pennies or change in the store, I would turn it into the cash office. The security officer told me one time, you are honest because I watched you turn the money in that you found inside the store.
When I walk into a place of previous employment with my head up high, that makes you feel good inside. Honesty is the best answer.

Since u said it has all the owners info. I'd return it to them. More than likely, they'd give me some of it, so i really can't lose. If I'd lost my purse with $5000, I'd want the finder to return it to me.

I'd probably take all the money and then call the owner and tell them that I found the purse...or I would just call the owner and tell them what I found including the money...My conscience would eat at me...It would depend on my mood. I do believe it karma so that would be a hard one. I'm broke, but I would something good would come back to me if I gave it all back.

Honestly? I'd give the purse and ALL the money back. Imagine feeling freaked out that you lost all that, wouldn't you want someone to return it to you? You have to listen to that little voice in your head, it won't ever steer you wrong. Also, what comes around, goes around.

I would be Tempted, my god who wouldn't. However with the way I was brought up I would locate the person and return them the money. You never know what the person may need the money for. And I belive if you do a good deed you will one day reap the benefits!

I'd return it.
$5000 bucks would really help me, but there have been times in my life where losing $5000 bucks would have totally screwed me. I couldn't do it to someone.
I'd really appreciate a reward from them though, and frankly think they were an *** if they didn't give one/

It all depends what kinda purse i guess, If it's a purse that cost a couple pf grand hell we both know I need the money more than them but if it's a cheap little purse...............
