I got a letter in the mail from the People to People Student Ambassador saying that I could go to France, Italy and Greece for 20 days in 2007. Its a trevel-study program and I can get academic credits while doing it. The only problem is that I get home sick and it's in a different country. My dad also said that if I go I have to get shots because of all the diseases over there. Should I go?

Shots? are you serious? You might have to make sure you are updated on your shots, but you are not going to Africa and have to get lots and lots of shots. France Italy and Greece are first world countries you only have to worry about shots if you are going to the middle east, Africa or some parts of Asia. That is also not a good reason not to go.
20 days is nothing, you might get a little home sick, but they will keep you so busy you won't have time to think about it. If you can go you really really should. It will be a great experience and something you will cherish forever.

Travel in foreign countries is not for everyone. The language is always a problem and your accommodations will probably be low cost which means not as nice as what you are used to. On the other hand you will be with other students like yourself, which for a female could be important. It could be a good adventure or one you hate. Shots are necessary no matter where you go. You probably have a better chance of getting sick from the water, than a disease. Try to talk with other people who have either taken this trip or plan to. Information is my best advise.

i'd pass Spain-Italy-Greece, or Greece-Italy-Spain, merely geographically it really is wise. in case you're set on those 3 international locations you should take the Mediterranean ferry, or you could highway vacation with the help of the different international locations. It I were you i'd initiate in north spain, employ a automobile and slowly stress south, take a ferry to the baleric islands (completely nicely truly worth the quit), Minorca is my common, yet Mallorca would nicely be somewhat a lot less complicated to get to, and Ibiza is a celebration island. Then i'd take the ferry to northern italy, and stress south to the authentic tip of the boot, and take a ferry to the greek islands. keep Athens for very last as it really is the position you could capture the flight domicile. no longer tremendous distinct, yet, desire that promises some theory. have exciting i'm jealous!

This is an oppourtunity that you won't want to miss. Of course you should go. You would look back on this later in life and think how proud you are that you went. you faced your homesickness and had a good time. Plus it gives you bragging rights that you've been to europe!

yes, do it.

suck it up. you are a big girl now. It's only 20 days of your life.

Your dad is not so bright...I mean...right. Perhaps your doctor can give you the special shot to fight against accidentally getting exposed to other cultures and languages. I understand it is only available in the US.

Any one of the three would be a great experience..
I doubt that you will need any shots...
This is western europe, not some 3rd world cesspool.
