I flew with my daughter when she was 6 months and I have several suggestions for you. First thing, pack ONE carry on bag. Put your purse in your checked luggage and put yours and the babies stuff together in the carry on. It will be sooo much easier with just one bag to keep up with. Second, bring a stroller, they'll check it for you at the plane. Third, make sure you have something for the baby to suck on during take off and landing to help their ears, a bottle, pacifier, something. Fourth if you are checking the baby's car seat as luggage, bring a big garbage bag to put it in or ask if the airline for a car seat bag, they don't always have these so it's a good idea to bring one with you, clear is the best so security can see in the bag without having to open it. If you don't put the car seat in something it will be FILTHY when you get it in baggage claim. Fifth, make sure you go to the bathroom before you get on the plane. You can always change your baby on your lap, but you trying to go to the bathroom with a baby in your lap is no easy task, that is if you are flying alone. Anyway, good luck, and don't worry about other people on the plane. Babies cry and that's life. All you can do is your best to keep the baby happy and if they don't like it, it's only 4 hours of their life, they can get over it.

When I flew with my 2 month old daughter from NY to CA where we are from this past summer I flew over night. That way she stayed asleep and I found it helped out with the time change. Give her some tylenol about 30 minutes before take off just in case her ears pop also try to feed her on take off and landing if she is awake or even a pacifire. the sucking motion will prevent her ears from poping as well. if shes asleep let her stay asleep. Mine was an eight hour flight both ways and she slept through the whole flight. Also you can bring your stroller on the plane like carry on just tell the flight attendant that you want them to store it for you and it doesnt count as part of your carry on baggage limit.

Babies travel quite easily. It's all the stuff you have to take along that makes it difficult. We traveled from California to England with a 7 week old. He slept most of the way there and back.

If you have a sling or snugglie, it would make your baby feel more comfortable to be close, but the airline may not allow this for take off and landing. Let the baby nurse/bottle or use a pacifier for take off and landing to help keep the ears from clogging and she should be just fine. If she has a cold, you might ask your pediatrician for an approved decongestant.

well make sure you bring somthing for your self and her !!
never forget yourself ok although we woman know kids first .

so her basics you know already milk(perferably juice or somthing because somtimes milk makes weak stomaches from movement of plane .snack somthing to suck on exspecially to help when the ear drums get bothered from the height ..and then well extra clothin for her on board so if any accidents she is al cute again for whoever is waitin for you and a extra shirt for you too cuz she is bound to get somthin on you and you can change right before they call the seat belt on ..
but they tend to like crayons and paper and because she is right there with you you will be able to make sure she dont eat them hhaha which they will try to do most likely still at this age but my kids love them and they dont take up room in my bad a couple cryons and paper ,,,and you cant take much aboard anymoe these days so if you dont liket the crayon idea they have those erase magnet bored(travel size) things and that is small too..but easier then all things you mom !! you can sing with her and just play bick a boo with her and mom is her favorite thing to have along !! well have a wonderful trip ok ..ur friend brandy mother of 5 -----------padierma@yahoo.com

Bring water/juice/milk/formula, let the baby drink during take-off and landing to ease the pain in the ears caused by air pressure changes. Bring some new toys/books.

We recently took my daughter (5 months) on a airplane holiday (4 distinctive united statesand downs) and the rigidity did no longer look to hardship her in any respect. She had purely a splash a chilly, too, so i grew to become into particular she grew to become into going to depressing. We had her suck on her pacifier or we fed her for each take off and he or she slept something of the holiday! We did take her carseat, and that grew to become into large! We additionally sat interior the decrease back of the airplane, so if she did cry, the engine noise would drown her out some. sturdy success!

make sure she has a pacifier/bottle during takeoff/landing...that way her ears won't "clog" from the pressure change, and just keep her entertained during the flight
