Sort of true.

If you can trap a wasp in the freezer the metabolism will slow to the point where the insect cannot move. It is probably not frozen, just immobile.

If you then tie a thread (not string) around the "wasp waist" and allow the wasp to warm up to room temperature, you will have a "leash" on the insect.

If you attempt this, do be careful, because there is nothing from preventing the wasp from "dive bombing" along the string and stinging you.

By the way, a bumble bee is very very much more impressive. Just remember that harming other life forms will bring its own consequences.

Yes, as long as you do not freeze it too long; then it will just die. you only freeze it for a few minutes to "put it to sleep." It was done in either the first Jackass movie or one of the CKY videos.
