My first answer is don't treat them as dorks!!
I consider myself quite intelligent & when my wife & I started dating, she wasn't really into the "history & science" stuff but when I brought her to the museums & was able to give more info as to what she was seeing than just what was written down in front of the museum piece, she not only got more interested in the museum info but into me as well!!
When we now go on a trip, we play somewhat of a game in that, we each find out a little more about one specific area we want to visit when we are there & try to outdo each other with this "extra" info when visiting.
Hey, knowing more doesn't mean your a "dork" it just means that you were fascinated & wanted to learn!
Have fun in your search & you would be surprised how some great looking ladies are into this as well!

sweetheart,,not all women who like museums and science are dorks you know,,everyone is different and if you specifically want to meet a dork you may have to look harder, why not place an ad locally to meet someone for friendship and see what you get.

Do your local museums have clubs? Does your town have a historical society? JOIN! Even if you find most the members are older or the same sex, some will have grown children or sisters/brothers/friends with similar interests that they may want you to meet. VIOLA!

I would try historical and science museums first. If they like going there they might already be there. Or perhaps a library or university. If someone is studying history and science, they are probably interested in it.

One of the hottest chicks I know has two PhDs and is a master at both the polymerized chain reaction AND intracellular recording.

The same types of places you hang out already. You might just want to try a different approach of meeting them.
