I was working for an Autozone in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1995. A woman came in needing a battery for her 1994 Ford Mustang. We had an employee there with not a lot of brain power working at the time. He went over to the battery rack and grabbed what he thought was the right battery, and carried it out to her car. She had parked right in front of the building so he didn't have far to go. He pulled her old battery out of the vehicle and put the new battery in its place. He then proceeded to hook up the battery, connecting the terminals up backwards. The power surge burned out her alternator, engine computer, fusible link wires, and her control module. On top of all that, he had installed a battery that was the wrong size, so we not only had to replace the burned out components, we also lost the original sale.

feels like really the delima. My first suggestion is both a airplane value ticket on your customer, or initiate a rice farm. now as some distance the hollow interior thechronic way. i might want to signify reducing a hollow contained in the bottom of a trash can, position it over the hollow. the subsequent time you've garbage, in basic terms position into the bottomless hollow. Now so some distance as your automobile, 2 9 volt batteries, duct tape, a stick of one/2 chewed spearmint gum, and used condom, and definitely, some contact up paint might want to restoration it. Oddly adequate, i considered that exact same difficulty ensue to McGyver in episode 128. View this episode for more effective information.

If you reverse the terminals, there is a good chance of frying the electronics and could be very expensive to correct.

For one, you'll probably fry your cars computer, along with your alternator, fuse's ,and possibly even blow up your battery. Resulting with battery acid everywhere, fire and a hefty mechanics bill.

You could burn out your alternator. Or blow an in line fuse if they still use them. It also could destory your battery. Probably some other things too but I can't think of them off hand.
