Hell yeah! take some beer, get her drunk, and let her have the best time she's had in probably 30 or 40 years. she deserves it. anybody who lives past 75 deserves whatever the hell they want. as a matter of fact, at her party drink a beer for me, and tell her I said Happy Birthday. as for the family fighting. make everyone realize that they need to put their differences aside, just for the sake of grandma. she's 82, her heart might not be able to take much more. she needs to enjoy herself.
P.S. strippers for grandma probably wouldn't be a bad idea either

Probably you should
(1) Check with her physician to see if alcohol will badly affect her medication
(2) Consider, does your family "fight" because of their drinking
(3) only take alcohol to her birthday party if her parents approve.

If you say you already fight at family gatherings, I think by having alcohol you would be adding fuel to the fire. So I would say NO.

It's better to drop the idea of carrying alcohol to your granny's birthday party. This is because your granny might be an orthodox lady and if she sees her grand daughter consuming alcohol, then she might get an heart attack due to shock. So please dont take risk in this matter. Long live your granny

I dont think that is a good idea if you fight as it is alcohol will just make it worse. You know meds do not mix with alcohol.

Well, when my mom turned 80, we threw her a surprise party, where she was presented with a bottle of Zinfendel, and we all drank beer. Her older sister outdrinks 'em all.
Just tellin' the truth. At least they are all happy upstanding people.

My grandmother would want to drink some and it could effect her medicine. I wouldn't bring any unless it was clear that the birthday girl could indulge too.
