Anyway, the heart's responsible for pumping blood to the rest of the body, including itself.

The heart pumps blood .
The de-oxygenated blood from the body is brought to the right auricle,atria via the superior and inferior venacavas from where it goes to the right ventricle from there through the pulmonary artery(only artery carrying impure blood ) to the lungs where it is oxygenated and brought back to the left auricle of the heart through the pulmonary vein (only vein carrying pure blood ) from there to the left ventricle from where it is pumped to the rest of the body by the aorta(largest artery ) .
In fact the heart is the busiest organ in the human body beating on an average of 72 times per minute .
