Primary means first. Secondary means second. Tertiary means third.

They are ordinal words; that is, words that describe an order or position: primary (first), secondary (second), and tertiary (third).

primary is first...the base..the root...nothing can be lower or simpler than primary...
secondary is the next level...
tertiary is the level after secondary...

these terms could be used to describe industries:

primary industry: involves getting the raw materials...e.g getting milk..
secondary: involves processing the raw materials (putting milk in bottles...)
tertiary: involves providing the product to the consumer...e.g selling the milk...

"primary" refers to the first (or main) idea. Secondary, is second thing, and there tertiary (pronounced: ter-ci-ary) is your third thing

well the first two i can only think of
is for colors

primary colors - blue red yellow

secondary colors- green violet orange

or it can mean education

primary school, secondary school...
