TLC. They were totally original and there has never been a group, male or female, that has ever sounded like them. Just check out the evolution of both their sound and their style over the course of their albums.
Destiny's Child was mostly just a showcase for Beyonce, and all their stuff sounded alike.

I think was TLC because there songs were messagues to the community about real issues like sex, comdoms, std's, etc. Their lyrics were more family/ community oriented and each song has a positive messague attached with a very compeling story. Destiny's Child songs are more about being independent and boys meet girls situation.

Well TLC was famous for being the first girl group, and they were good. But Destiny Child is a great trio, They can perform, and sing. I wish they never broke up.
