The "sole" happens to be any flatfish of the family Soleidae. They are a bit hard to catch when you go fishing. If on the other you are looking for a single sole person, that should not be too hard either especially if you are not fuss about the sex of the person. However if you are looking for a "soul" mate which I think is what you are looking for, try starting with a fishing club. At least you start with "soul" mates and then end with "sole" mate - one that fishes but cannot spell!

Sole (fish)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The soles are flatfishes of various families. Narrowly speaking, they are the members of the family Soleidae, but, outside Europe, the name 'sole' is also applied to various other similar flatfish, especially other members of the sole suborder Soleoidei as well as members of the flounder family.
==============================
Or perhaps you are wanting a SOLE for one of your shoes for when you go fishing for sole?
===============================
English (& American) are strange languages.
Maybe what you are wanting to find is a SOUL MATE so the two of you can go fishing together hoping to catch sole fish or to catch a sole for the shoe.
Soulmate
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Soulmate (or soul mate) is a term sometimes used to designate someone with whom one has a feeling of deep and natural affinity, friendship, love, intimacy, sexuality, and/or compatibility.

You're close to solving the problem by acknowledging a "soul mate." You need to soul search a little. Take out a note book and be honest with yourself...what do you need vs. want in a relationship. Start listing everything in two categories; flexible and inflexible. (an inflexible would be something like...definitely does not smoke). Anyway spend a week or so on this. In the end you will have a criteria or list for the ideal guy for you. And, when you date...see how each date compares on your list...you now have a "benchmark" to work with.
Hope this helps

I hate to tell you this, but one doesn't intentionally find a soul mate. It happens, and you may not even realize it when it happens. Sometimes it may take years to understand what happened.
Now, if you want a fishing buddy, I'm sure those are plentiful and all you'd have to do is ask. I don't even like fishing that much, but if a friend asked, I'd go in a heartbeat.

Fishing? I suppose that's funny.I was prepared to give you a chick answer.How about going to your local sporting goods store and asking for volunteers.I'm sure there will be plenty of offers.Kiss a few frogs and see what you get. The rest of your life could be decided over a Coors Light , a bucket of live bait and a very flat funny looking fish.Come to think of it that doesn't sound to bad.You got a boat?

I will go fishing with you and we can be sole mates, fish-wise, IF you will go mountain hiking with me and we can be sole mates shoe leather-wise, And we can be soul mates friendship -wise. Deal?

You need to leave the computer and go out....outside your house. Do something really intense, something what interests you. Like...is it surfing? painting? climbing moutnains? Fishing? Whatever....find your own passion. Meaning....find yourself first. And become as good as possible, master the challenges...
And then from thre....you will meet a lot of people who love to do the same thing and share your passion. That's how you find your soulmate.....
