Is it true that unlike other fish, betta sink to the tank when they die?

I meant, sink to the bottom of the tank.

Generally they float, but if they have a swim bladder disorder they will sink to the bottom. (Until they start to rot, and bloat up.)

They are a fish and will react the same way as other fish do.

no i worked in a pet store and they float like any other fish.

? mines isn't dead, but it does tend to go to the bottom of the vase when the sun hits it and warms the watter quickly.
