Can you move?

It'd be worth uprooting the entire family and moving away in my opinion. I speak from experience; I moved away to break my daughter from dating a gang leader when she was 14.

I've never regretted that decision.

If you can't move, show her the lives of kids who are loyal to their families and who go to college instead of succumbing to gangland and thug behavior. Hopefully you can reach the child that loves you inside her.

Good luck!

I'm sorry but i have 2 girls and "it would be a very cold frigged day in hell" before either of them would be allowed to hang out with a (crip)member are you kidding me,no disrespect to you but you need to enforce some rules, how do you talk to her about it?honey do you want to live or die?suppose someones out to get the person your child is hanging out with do you think a bullet has a name on it.recently a kid that i know was hanging with some of his relatives and there not in a gang but one of the boys got into a fight with a gang member, and so they were out walking and ended up running for their lives because the boy that fought with the gang member happen to be out with them as well and on that unfaithful day so was the gang members. they got away but one lost an eye, which one do you think that is the innocent one.isn't it always the innocent bystander, and if that doesn't work take her to your local morgue that should scare her straight.

I would suggest asking her to do research on the lives of all the infamous gang members of the crips, and she'll find out how practically all of them wound up in prison or dead. That should shock her into avoiding gangs.

those mothers and fathers are irresponsible to enable those childrens out all on my own without an grownup. Your mothers and fathers are very accountable and they are doing the right difficulty. If something occurs to you, they are going to be at fault. you need to do what they say till you're 18 it really is the grownup age. once you turn 18 you settle on to do as you want, yet when you're nonetheless a minor, you need to do as they say. in the experience that they say you won't be able to bypass, you won't be able to bypass. i'm positive that they don't have self belief those childrens that are going by employing themselves without an grownup. It even makes me imagine that those so referred to as pals of yours are not any value and it isn't worth you being round them. you've were given to be careful whom you carry out with. childrens your age run quite some possibility outdoors the abode. quite some issues can ensue to you. you will get abducted, raped, assaulted, and far extra.

She wants to hang around with gang members? Send her to military school, they'll straighten her up. Talk to the police, they'll know ex members who got out, and those members can tell her what its like. Take her to a morgue, watch a loved one have to come in and identify their loved one. Good luck with her

What I don't understand is why parents don't PARENT anymore... you're afraid of threatening or tunring her off.

If it was my child, I would be straight and upfront with them... telling them that I don't want them hanging about or even THINKING of joining the gang.

If they DID consider it, I would be in their face quite regularly... I would drive them to school and pick them up... I would search their rooms... and if need be, I would restrict their internet and curtail going outside.

People... quit coddling your children and being afraid of what they MAY do! Stop being their friend, and be their parent!

Do something to shock her into reality. Show her some statistics about gang related murders. Do SOMETHING to show her just how dangerous gangs are. Good luck
