My daughter had an ultra sound at 6 weeks. The baby looked like a kidney bean, but you could see the pulse of the heart beating already. It was incredible.

All medical doctors date distinctive. and anybody's being pregnant is distinctive. i did no longer have a fetal pole or heart beat, or yolk sac at 6 weeks. I had no morning illness, or any indications in any respect extremely. yet now im sixteen weeks and each thing is somewhat advantageous, i heard the heart beat for the 1st time this week. that's taking your infant a sprint longer to strengthen. except you have extreme cramping or are bleeding, I wouldnt subject. do no longer stress out.

Not sure about people, but I've seen a fetal heartbeat in a horse at 14 days gestation with my own eyes.
I would think people would be very similar, but doctor's don't usually do ultrasounds in people until 6 weeks gestation... that was when we first saw our daughter's heartbeat...

If it's a transvaginal ultrasound, it can be seen pretty early. I had them with both of my pregnancies, and one heartbeat was seen at 5w 6d, and the other son it was 6w 1d. They start beating earlier than that, but are just too small to be seen.

It can usually be charted during the 1st ultrasound. But to actually see the heart beat, we saw it at week 20.

I had one done trans vaginally at 5 weeks. They saw the heartbeat but it was still so early to be able to "chart" a rhythm. It was reassuring just to see it though.
