I don not fancy the person in question but do enjoy his company and like him as a friend, My fella already wants to punch him but I have said let it lie.

Just distance yourself from this lad. I know you like his company but if your boyfriend feels threatened by this (he won't admit it but why else would he be annoyed because it's not like his friend has overstepped the mark by making a move on you) then his friendship will suffer more than it already has and eventually it will cause problems between the two of you because he might start to distrust you. Do you want that? Is his friend's company worth that? It's up to you but i would stay away from him and if you have to come into contact, keep it short and simple

Just ignore it. So, he fancies you? Doesn't mean anything will come of it. I also suggest a lot of reassurance to your boyfriend, as it's not really fair that he loses a friend over this. Plus, if that was to happen, he might end up resenting you in the long run.

Just leave it well alone!! Ur fella and his mate will resolve it between them in their own way-prob over a pint or 10!
Just dont mention it and it will all die down eventually.

make a joke out of it... tell your fella, its obviously a sign he's got really good taste, and he should feel sorry for his friend, because you're already taken.
to the friend, if he mentions anything, just say "thanks, its really flattering, but i'm already with somebody", and then offer to help him find somebody else...
just turn the situation around so its in your favour

this is an issue to be sorted out between the guys, if this bloke has made it obvious to HIS FRIEND that he wants you. your man should sort it out. very caveman i know but this is the only way for it to happen without damaging your relationship with your man. you can tell him to promise not to hit him if you need to

there are several things to do
1.don't flirt with him or send him ANY flirty signals-only talk to him like you would any other mate
2.make it clear you love your boyfriend.
3.make sure your boyfriend keeps calm around the person in question.
