It would depend on how much you suffered in damages. If the spinach gave you the squirts, it would be very hard to prove. But if you went into a coma for 2 weeks you might be entitled to much more.

You would have to prove that spinach caused it which can be difficult if the spinach is all gone. You would also have to prove negligence by the grower and there is no direct link yet.

If you got it after the problem was exposed you shouldn't sue for anything. It's your own stupidity for not paying attention to the warnings.
