It depends on where "here" is. But to give you some perspective, Canada has six time zones (time differences given are in standard time in relation to UTC):
Pacific (-8:00)
Mountain (-7:00)
Central (-6:00)
Eastern (-5:00)
Atlantic (-4:00)
Newfoundland (-3:30)
The actual difference for a given area of Canada will depend on whether the area is observing Daylight Savings time, as most areas of Canada are doing now until October. Saskatchewan is on standard time year-round.

It is later in England than Canada. So if someone from my part of Canada calls you at ll pm on Christmas day to wish you a Merry Christmas, they will wake you up at 5 in the morning. (Unless you've been partying all night). However it really depends on what part of Canada as we have several time zones. So be very careful about calling a Canadian friend at noon in england - if you want to keep that friend! If you are trying to collect a debt though, that might be the appropriate time
