Depends what you mean by 'visit'.
I drove past it while travelling through Nevada a couple of years ago.
There were a lot of signs for it, so I detoured to have a look and found a bloody big fence in the desert, with a locked gate blocking the road and a few skanky "I've been to area 51" souvenir shops (shacks). The interesting thing was the amazing sight that was on the other side of the fence. it was a massive, huge, beautiful, wait for it........

expanse of desert, which looked remarkably similar to the massive beautiful expanse of desert I saw when I looked in every other direction.

Don't believe everything you read.

Try Google Earth. It is actually pretty boring. There are some very long landing strips and an odd area with trees and a lake - (in a desert?), but for the most part it seems very unremarkable.

there will be some big secrets or discoveries that the government will be keeping from us but i doubt they're in there. too obvious. it's more of a decoy and i think if there are secrets then they're greatly exxagerated (i don't believe we're holding aliens etc.) still, if it was true to the concept, i would love to visit - actually, i'd love to go there anyway just to see what there was

They tested some top secret stuff there in the 60's but since then its only been used as a cover for the top secret stuff being done elsewhere.

I'd still like a nose around though.

It would be just to see if they really did have a spaceship there and are making stuff using alien technology.
