I have a pair of slingback shoes, which I love but have only wore once, because them kept sliding off my ankle. They have a buckle on the strap which goes at the back of the heel. I'd be wearing tights with them in the winter. I'd really appreciate any tips. Thank you.

Hi!
At any good cobblers, you can buy 'sling back grips' these are pieces of adhesive suede that stick to the inside of your sling-back strap, and snug it in that little bit more and give it some grip so that it doesn't slide down.
They cost around 1.99 in GBP.
Hope this helps!

Hi

This happens to me too, and it's very annoying.
it could be caused by one or more of the following:
1) the strap is too loose, in that case, adjust the belt so it's shorter (or punch another hole if it's on the tightest one already)
2) Try sliding the strap higher onto the back of your heel (i.e. make sure it's resting on the part of your heel that concaves the most)
3) Go to your local shoe boutique or shoe repair and get slingback adhesives (they are a thin strap of adhesive foam or suede material that you stick on the inside of the slingback strap and it holds the strap against your heel without slippage).

Good luck!

sounds like the ankle straps too big...make another hole in the straps put them on...and pull the strap till it feels secure then mark the strap on the back and then make the new hole...should stop them from falling down (if the have a buckle fastening that is)

Why could you purchase shoes that are to big besides? W/e, sure there are issues which you would be able to positioned on the interior your shoe that keep your foot from sliding around. merely bypass into payless shoe source and ask for some.

There is a tradition I am told of double sided tape. It is used in various places for obvious purposes. You might consider trying it but be careful to get one that will not hurt your skin.

Try some of those rubber style tips you can buy from boots and supermarket beauty and feet sections.

Crazy glue is a stupid idea. Your not going to be able to get the shoes off. I suggest stapling the straps to your ankles.

Make another hole for the buckle so you can make the strap smaller?
