I am here at work 8 hours but I might only work about 4 hours all together, just not in the mood to do it.

Depends on my schedule actually, sometimes it's 12 hours and If I'm lucky only 5. So did you mean you only work 4 hours cause I would love that. I'm a chef for one of my jobs and that is never a set number of hours.

i used to work for 15 hours a day, i never had time for anything....sometimes i sleep in my office...my biggest record of working is 56 hours but i never regreted bcs i achieved nothing but absolute victory.....one day, i woke up, tht was January 7 2006, i suddenly lost interest in everything. I have 5 factories, 12 natural resources extraction plants, 35 department stores, 31 automobile showrooms, i hold more than 120 agency of different fashion brands, i have 8 jack in the box franchise fast food junctions, etc, i m not supposed to leave my work, well i did....i just left everything, the only thing i do is, my managers who are in charge meet me every nite from 6 to 10 to discuss and seek advice and orders, but frankly i dont do much, i only drink wine and smoke cigar. Its like i lost interest of everything, my only interest is to live near the Krakatau mountain, i love krakatau, i can feel the vibration tht its pulling me near everytime i visit Krakatau....
Basically i dont work now, i dont think i will work this year, but next year, once i get married to the person i worship, i will continue my miserable, dull and lame life, tht will be back to 15 hours a day with alot of friggin travelling...i hate flights bcs i m afraid of flights....

I am self-employed, and in some ways, it's like I'm always working because even when I'm not really doing work, I'm thinking about it. I'm constantly improving my skills, researching, formulating plans. For real "at the grindstone" work, I probably only do an average of about four hours per day, maybe less.

Zero to 22. Never been (much) past that yet, thankfully. But I have run some consecutively. Today was 4-ish for me also. Tomorrow is not here yet. I know Weds. will be 17-18 hours for me. Beyond that, ?.

My typical day is about 11 to 12 hours. Just part of running a business. Luckily, I can take as many days off and as many vacation days as I want.
