Just curious as to the new capabilities of the new ones.

No, the nano can not paly movies or the new gams like tetris and zuma. you are limited to pictures and music (you can do contacts and calendars too though).
the nano screen is just way too small to play movies and the average movie is 1.5 GB which would take up a good chunk of space on your iPod

i think that the nano is just suposed to be the same colors as the mini
