Perfectly fine! My son weighed 11lb 6 ozs when he was 2 months old. Babies go through many growth spurts during their first months of life. In fact a baby averages about a 1/2 pound a week during the first 6 weeks of life!

That depends on the birthweight. If the baby was only 5-6-7 pounds at birth then 11 pounds is probably fine.
However, if the baby was 9-10 pounds at birth, that is a little underweight.
The baby should have just had the 2 month appointment. Didn't you ask the Dr. if everything was ok? Always, check with the Dr. if you have any concerns.

Ask your pediatrician about American Standard Infant Formula. Fortified with creatine, KFC extra crispy, and clarified butter.
Don't let your baby fall behind the power curve, most 2 month olds these days are pushing 20lbs hard. This is a very special formula that can only be found in the US, where big babies come a dime a dozen.
*for the breastfeeding mother, ask your pediatrician about Beefcake 3000 breast milk fortifier. Now enriched with whale blubber. Guaranteed to grow yourself a linebacker.

I weighed 10lbs 2 oz when I was born. Some babies are just big. some babies are little. If the baby is not excessively chubby you have nothing to worry about. But dont cut back on its food, the baby needs lots of nutirents right now, especially being only 2 months old. Dont worry too much, the baby will grow out of it once it starts getting taller. Congrats on the new baby :)

If your baby was small to begin with, 11 pounds at 2 months might be fine. I would worry if the baby was losing weight, though. Only your doctor should help you with this.

Of course it is... Some babies are born bigger than that.. But if your baby was born an average size... 11 pound is a good place to be at only 2 months. Check with his pediatrician as well.. they should be able to tell you the percentile that your child is at.

My daughter was born at 9lbs 13 oz. I don't recall her 2 month weight.. If your child was born at 7-9 lbs I think 11 lbs is in all likelihood fairly normal at 2 months.
Worry is common with the 1st child, if your child eats regularly, sleeps regularly and poos regularly all things considered you probably have a normal healthy child.
Ask your Doc.

Is the baby thriving, happy and well? Is the pediatrician satisfied with the baby's progress? These should be your guide lines and not figures and stats alone. Concerned? Check out the baby at the clinic. I'm sure everything is just fine.

I'd say so. At her two month check up, my little girl was 12.7 pounds and 24 1/2 inches long. They said that was great! Dont you just love big babies! :)

There is no way to answer that question without seeing the baby and knowing it's birthweight.
Are you concerned? is the baby eating, sleeping and wetting diapers? Is it bright eyed or listless?
If you are concerned check in with your doctor.
