I am an alternative medicinal therapist and I have many patients with this problem, stop taking these pills they will end up doing you more damage (ie,liver and kidney) Go and see an acupressure therapist or a massage therapist, they can help you. These so-doctors are killing us all off with their synthetic chemicals.

There is a time and place for medicine, but when you have tried it and it doesn't work, or it works for a while and the pain returns, it's time to try something else. Most medicine just covers the pain, not fix the pain, that's why the pain comes back. I strongly suggest seeing a chiropractor to determine if this is muscular or a bony problem. If you don't already so a chiropractor, go to www.sorsi.com to find a chiropractor in your area. If you are in Minnesota, look at my website at www.healinghandschiro.com.

I like many other people have had lower back pain for about 20 years, and have tried many different painkillers and exercise. I now have injections in my back muscles every 3 months to help the muscle relax so they don't spasm as much, but Pilate's is also very good and helping to straighten your core muscles, so you could give this a go and use heat on your back to help the muscle relax as well.
Good luck and hope it settles down soon

if you are seeing a regular MD he is really not qualified to treat your back pain, he will just give painkillers which masks the pain and does not address the cause.

Like someone else said, go to a chiropractor and they will assess you completely. it might just be something out of alignment and they can fix that an relieve the pain immediately, no painkillers.

I had a migraine for 2 days, no painkillers helped, so eventually I went to my chiropractor and I had 3 vertebrae out of place and she re-aligned me and the pain was gone in 15 mins.

Do you know why you're having back pain?

Try a good massage and heating pad, and nice long soaking baths. And see about an exercise routine to strengthen your back muscles. Have you visited a chiropractor yet?

Good luck!

the best thing you can do is strengthen your back up a bit, build muscle, for the start i would advice to use those electric pads. They sell them everywhere now. Them with time start exercising slowly. Trust me i know, I've been there. It helped me.

IF IT IS LOWER BACK PAIN I SUGGEST YOU ASK YOUR DOCTOR FOR A FURTHER EXAM TO MAKE SURE IT IS NOT YOUR KIDNEYS. MANY PEOPLE OVERLOOK THAT WHEN IT COMES TO BACK PAIN, AND MANY PEOPLE MAKE THEIR KIDNEYS WORSE BY ADDING MEDICATION TO THE MIX.
