As far as US football and many other professional sports, when you consider the MONEY $$$$$$$$ involved in advertising, sales, promotion, stadiums, sports complexes city and taxpayer involvement, (dont forget the enhancement drugs) there has to be... without a doubt some corruption!!!!!. Maybe the government, but I think mostly organized crime. Gambling ETC.

I am a Centrist. Basically I believe that there is a role for local, State, and Federal governments but that we need to more carefully evaluate that role to avoid the centralization of power but still provide the most value for our tax dollars. Over the last three decades we have seen a Federal centralization of power that is both dangerous and unconstitutional in that powers not expressly delegated to the Federal government by the Constitution or ceded to the Federal government by the States themselves are reserved to those States. The Federal Government has basically ignored that and in doing so has created a government that has an approval rating that is very low despite the popularity of Obama. Note the lack of polls in the last few years that ask what people think about their own government but rephrase the question as State of the Nation instead. Even then that is 37% today up 27% from February. I personally don't think either candidate will or would have done any better. Obama talked a big game that sounded good but I never supported him because I simply didn't believe him. My pessimism has been vindicated a dozen times over by his actions since taking office. McCain isn't a charismatic leader. Something I think the country really needs more of and Obama fit that bill very well. Americans need to take a step back from the polarization of the Republicans, Democrats, and the MSM and realize we are being herded into opposite corners by power hungry politicians who have little to no concern about the common American other than how they vote. Red or blue neither care. They both sold out to special interest groups for money a long time ago. Common Americans gathered together and founded our country. Common Americans are the ones who bleed and die to defend our country. Common Americans are responsible for making sure its not taken over by two ideologically opposed adolescents with the morals of a forum troll. True Progressives and Conservatives should be appalled at the behavior of the government in the last 20 years because its been neither progressive or conservative.
