Ex is the top of the line for Honda Models. LX is the middle. You can get a lot of features with the LX, but if you want everything (like leather, V-6, heated seats....) you have to get the EX model.

Depending on which generation, but EX usually has everything the LX has, plus sunroof, sometimes more powerful engine, four wheel disc brakes, etc.
Honda last fews cycles has put in a "Special Edition" into the lineup, but it's just a glorified LX. So the lineup is typically:

Standard equipment. The EX is the top of the line, the LX is in the middle and the DX is a stripped model.
