Washington is a major and all know city and is definitely worthwhile send a holiday or simply visit that city. with hotelbye you will find more. One of many symbols of Washington and the whole America may be the famous White House, the state residence of the President of the United States. The house of each president except George Washington, it absolutely was actually developed by James Hoban in 1792, and after being burned down by British forces in 1814 was rebuilt in 1818. Though tours of the inner offering the East, Blue, Green, and Red Areas; the Ballroom; and the State Dining Room must be reserved effectively beforehand, every tourist to Washington will want to see that famous building, at the least from the outside. Nearby to the White House would be the intricate 1833 Greek Revival Treasury Building and the 1871 Executive Office Building, one of the very impressive previous government buildings in Washington.

it's just outside gateshead to the west (a couple of miles) it is within walking or jogging distance if your fit but maybe not on the same day as you've done the GNR although you could do it as a walk to cool down and get a bus back (you can get the bus there from gateshead as well plenty go past it and stop because its next to some housing), the map on the site posted earlier gives the road to follow but most locals will point you in the right direction as you get close you will spot it cos it's hard to miss

It's about five or so miles south from Gateshead. If you're coming towards Newcastle on the A1 then you can't miss it, it's on a large hill overlooking the motorway.
