I have a laptop with wlan and my pc also has a usb wlan card..
The problem is i dont know how to establish a connection between them and how to share an internet connection that is already there on the pc through a broadband modem..

if all you have are 2 adapters you cant do this. adapters only look for a signal to pick up they dont send one out. you would have to have a wireless router on one of the computers. then the adapter from the other one can pick up the signal and get online. good luck

Ok you have a 2 wireless adapters and no access point so the only way they can talk to each other is in adhoc mode.In order to share the internet connection you could turn on internet connection sharing on the nic the internet is using. It would be much easier in the long run to buy a wireless router and use it. With better performance from using the router, the cost is well worth it.
