Are you getting enough sleep? Is it recuperative sleep? Mabe you keep waking up during the night and your body is not resting as well as it should be.
This website lists other reasons:
- Bone structure. If you have deep-set eyes, shadowing contributes to the dark color under the eyes. Your best bet: camouflage. Look for concealers with yellow undertones, which counteract the bluish cast to under-eye circles.
- Pigmentation. Genetic hyper-pigmentation is the most treatable form of dark circles. Your best bet: Try a lightening cream or talk to a dermatologist about chemical peels or laser resurfacing.
- Vasculature inflammation. Late nights, allergies and nutritional deficiencies can enlarge the blood vessels beneath the thin under-eye skin. Your best bet: Take care of yourself! Sounds clich but drink that water, get your beauty sleep, eat a healthy diet.

Lots a water, plenty of sleep and a good skin care line made for men. Try Arbonne's Re9 NutriMEN skincare products. These products are formulated in Switzerland (the worlds leading skincare experts) and made/distributed right in the good old U.S.A. They only use herbal and botanically based products that are pure, safe and beneficial. This particular line also reverses premature signs of aging. There is more I could recommend as a consultant if you would like to contact me: sunnyside_64@yahoo.com. Either way, check out their website. I have had lots of training and would love to help you with your skincare problems.

Get more rest. At sleeptime fluids will rush to your eyes, causing bags and puffiness if you sleep on your stomache, face down. Sleep on your back. Try lemon juice for a couple weeks under your eyes....lemon juice works as a natural bleaching system, used for many beauty treatments. Just don't get it into your eyes, it will sting a bit. Put fresh cut cucumber slices ontop your whole closed eyes, sit back and relax. It's cooling and soothing. This is what they do at the spas.

So do I, and I am 2yrs younger than you and a nonsmoker. Is it hereditary? I use concealer. No amount of sleep with remove them (although it helps) if it runs in your family. I also use a Vitamin K under eye cream by Avon. Try the cream. I figure you don't want to use the concealer, since it's makeup...:-)

Run a general-urine examination and a complete-blood picture exam too to be on the safe side. Consult a doctor.

Drink more water and get more sleep. Also, find an eye cream. Facial creams aren't just for women. Ask at one of the cosmetic counters. Clinque has a good line of products for men.

You might have an iron deficiency, or you might need more sleep. If you are getting enough sleep I would see your doctor to see if you are getting enough iron. My sister has the same problem and she is only 25. The doctor told her to take iron supplements, which seem to be helping, but you need to see your doctor so he/she can tell you how much if any iron you need to take.
