Why do celebrities marry and divorce so many times? Does it have anything to do with the characters they play in their roles?

Someone like Brad Pitt has been with countless women. He's proposed to three (Gweneth, Jennifer and now Angelina-or maybe) married one and is about to marry another one.

Someone like Tom Cruise, i don't even know where to start.

Ellizabeth Taylor (I won't even dare say a thing)

And all the others? Why can't they just meet one person, commit and be happy?

Do i even dare mention that they might be celebrity stunts? Who marries a guy and divorces him fifty five hours later? Britney!!

Does this puzzle anyone else?

It might be a celebrity stunt in some cases but my opinion (I work with people - based on phycology and training) people make up there minds based on choice. For example if you had three options your choice wouldn't be that difficault. but if you are a celebrety your choice grows depending on how many people fall at your feet. Because they have so many people that want to be with them they can't make up their minds for sure, and will often jump from person to person because of the fact that they do not know what they want and think the grass is greener on the other side and it all boils down to they can have almost anyone the want and their choices are too many.

4.Peri Gilpin
5.Ted Danson
The cast of Frasier, Cheers and Wings
Take Kelsey Grammer for example, the man has been married more times than can be counted.

Nope - no puzzles here. In America we are in it for the instant gratification of the "Me". We have no attention span, morality, integrity, or any of those "ity" virtues. Movies usually take at least 6 months or more to make. Spend it with a new leading lady without seeing the current lover or wife, and it is easy to move on. We only think of "Me" and "Right Now". Hope this helps and you learn "if you go away to school" the boyfriend goes away.

The thing is, there are many many non celebrities who get married and divorced numerous times. We just don't hear about them because they are not in the limelight. There are lots of celebrities who have been married for long periods of time, also!

Dr. Drew from loveline did a study and found that all celebrities have narcissistic traits. He said that being celebrity doesn't make them that way, they already have those traits which makes them seek celebrity status. Marrying and divorcing several times makes their ego bigger. So...your more prone to do that if your a celebrity, regular people don't have that void to fill.

Because people like you care. I'm not trying to be rude here, but seriously, if people didn't treat them like anything but a person they might not think they were larger than life and actually have a foundation in reality.

Life immitates stage - actors/actresses have no basis for family life - the exception seems to be
Mel GIbson - who seems to have his head screwed on correctly!@
