The fresher the ink the easier it will be but it does depend on the type of leather you have.
If it is a pigment leather you can sometimes find an ink stick which will work successfully, if not it is a job for a technician as you will need to use solvents which may remove the finish and the pigment and will then need replacing.
Hairspray can sometimes work but can also make the matter worse so proceed with caution.
If the leather is an aniline style then you will be unable to get the ink out with anything as it will have soaked into the leather. It may dissipate over time, but anything you try will only make the matter worse.

The best thing I did to get ink out of my leather couch was rubbing alcohol. Take a little bit on a cotton swab or puff and gently rub the ink spot. It may take several swipes to get it out. I have a cream color leather couch and it got it out to the point you could not see it unless you really really looked for it. The line may still be there but it's very unnoticeable.

Eucalyptus oil is good. It is best to use this when the mark is fresh - just put a dab on some cotton wool and give it a quick wipe, don't rub vigorously as it can remove the colour.

Use hairspray!! Trust me, when you need to get ink out, hairspray is the thing for it. Just spray it on and wipe it off, it is that simple. It is amazing at how easy it is.
