He'll be finished by next Tuesday because he is coming around to our house to put in a downstairs loo on Wednesday

Vat you vant for lowest bid? He's waiting for his tile guy to come and install the bathroom floor before his plumbing guy sets the toilet. You have to tell him that you can't be without a toilet for so long. There is a reason that he is able to work so much cheaper than the other contractors. It's about how much time he has to spend at your house and about keeping any extra work (like setting, then removing, then re-setting a toilet) to a minimum. You have to complain so that setting the toilet seems easier than listening to you.

He's bleeding you for more money, at this moment I am getting walk in shower fitted and that's only going to take about 4-5days, get this guy checked out , the work I'm getting is tiled walls and new flooring as well as shower unit.

the longer they work , the more you need to pay. They dragging it out, tell them to get a move on or do it your self.
