yeah a tattoo on the lower back is what i like to call a 'tramp stamp' it lets every one know that you are a tramp. that may just be my opinion on here, but everyone i know agrees with me.

I like your analogy of 'branded cattle'. Actually, aren't they more like sheep? They follow.....each other?
I guess they didn't think about how awful that mark will look on them when they reach middle age and have grandkids.
When I was 18, I thought a rosebud on my breast would be cool. Now that gravity has taken over, I'm glad I didn't - because it would be a long stem rose by now! LOL

Because you live in a small town that many years ago was visited by an alien spaceship.They are multiplying and waiting to take over. Run man, run. Because its not such an obvious place. Its not like having a tattoo on your arm or leg that's obvious every time you wear a t-shirt or a skirt. So I think a lot of girls have it there because they aren't 100% sure about having a tattoo so its a safer place. Also it seems to be a bit of a trend at the moment, just like it used to be quite a trend to have a tattoo on your shoulder. I don't think people have these tattoos to be different, I think its quite the opposite actually. i think they have these tattoos to follow the trend at the moment, its whats popular right now.

ahhh...the "tramp stamp" as we call them. other than it being a sexy place to put some ink, i don't know why ALL the women in your town have one....maybe they have some kind of freaky cult and that's their "secret society" mark...lol. but if you still think it might be a sign of branded cattle, i suggest switching to a vegetarian diet for a while....good luck

Simply because it's become an exceptable place for girls to have tattoos, along with the ankle!
I myself have a tattoo on my lover back, but unlike others, i do not feel the need to conform to society, hence my other tattoos.
It's a sort of, 'I want to be different, like everyone else!'

I agree with TLF. It isn't cool, it's conforming to the masses. It's the same as when all girls show their navel. How long has that fashion been going ? Years and years....it's boring !! Lets have something else for God's sake !

Good Question - My wife has 1 too - I think it is to draw attention away from her thong when it peeks out of her jeans..??!! I have never understood why you would want to draw all over your body... Ok! I will get an inky and draw a wee brand mark on her azz...
