cutting is a control issue.....its being able to control something in your life. From what i have seen it only becomes worse, and isnt resolved until after seeking treatment. Buy a boxing bag, but dont cut urself up! If u have that much anger go and see a counsellor who can work out exactly why ur doing what ur doing and how to stop.

You need to get professional help right away. No anger in this life is worth cutting your self. Think of the scares. Do you want to die because it can happen if make a mistake and cut an artery. In this life many times things are not going to go ones way or folks diappoint us and this then we become angry your just have to find a- nother way to channel the anger than hurting oneself. So stop that and get some help ok. Good luck.

NO.
Damn emo kids. Who thought this was a good idea?!
Seriously, NO! Cut too deeply, and you hit a vein/artery. It's all over at that point.
Anger issues? Hit a punching bag. Yell. Play video games (nothing more satisfying than shooting someone in the face with a shotgun when you're p'd off). Run. Drink (if you're old enough). Go to an anger management class (weaksauce, I know, but it's an option). TALK ABOUT WHAT'S UPSETTING YOU WITH YOUR FRIENDS.
Self-mutilation is bad. Life does suck on ice, but there are other alternatives. Besides, enduring sometimes makes you stronger... but know your limit.

Hey!
Cutting is definitely not the best way to maintain anger!! I have been down that road & I would cut myself because of anger & it would make me even more angry at myself so it was a continueous thing. I suggest writing things down (that is what helps me right now) if that doesn't work I suggest finding a hobby that makes you happy...& anytime you get angry do that one thing that makes you the happiest. Maybe even find a friend or an adult who you trust to talk to. Hope I helped!

I hope you're joking. How can putting a dirty foreign object to your skin and making disgusting scars be effective? How could you ever heal if you have all those scars left to remind you? I understand that this is becoming a trend. There are much better ways to get attention and to be heard. Cutting makes you appear to be a lunatic. You have resources all around you. Get to a doctor, counselor, school counselor, public health department: Any of these can steer you in the right direction . . . if you truly want help.

there are so many other ways to express and get through your anger. Cutting always concerned me beacuse as much as you don't want to admit it there is a possibility of going too far. Not only that but you should be handling your anger in a way that doesn't hurt you. I used to cut when I was younger and I found that it was only temporary relief. I found real comfort in talking with my friends (who didn't cut), and even my best friend's mom helped me a lot. It sounds overused but you need to find and adult you trust and confide in him or her.

I know someone that did this when they were younger. A few times they cut too deep and now that they are older they have scars that people stare at and judge him by. He has to wear long sleeve shirts, and long pants all the time to keep people from staring. He grew out of the habit but his scars make it hard for people to take him seriously which is important when you are trying to get a job. If you are doing it for attention, your going to get it, but only negative attention. If you are impulsed to do it (can't control it) you need professional help.

yes, there are many ways. one is just talkin about it, once you get it off your chest you will feel better. another way is to write down everything that is bothering you. the best way is to use your adreniline in a good way. go lifting or my personal favorite, a punching bag. can imagine it is anyone or anything for that matter and beat the living hell out of it. if none of that works, it is more mental than you may think. you should ask for help from a shrink if it is that way.

Yes there is...maybe instead of cutting you need to talk to everyone...Everyone needs someone to vent to and you guys seem like you are close enough to go ahead and share feelings with. Just talk. Ask questions of why they are mad. Give reason why things might have happened. Not everything is solved by self mutilation. It just hurts you more. Or maybe you should be going to se a pshycologist.

This is no way to sort out your problem's, if anything your making them worse by adding to them. Why not try writing your feelings down and then thinking of ways to sort your problems out.
Exercise also helps to destress, maybe you and your friends can try out a new hobby which you can use to express yourself.
Swimmings great for relaxing, or try kickboxing it's fun and great for letting your anger out.
