Yes..the lemon grass scent will help but do not do just that. If you are going through area with tall grass..wear high socks and long pants and tuck the pants into your boots/shoes/socks. if the grass is REALLY TALL you need to wear long sleeves too. if the grass is just waist high then the longsocks/pants should be fine. And afterwards just have someone else check all over you for it. they are smalll and sneaky.

Take a shower or bath after you come in from the woods. This will wash off any that are still clambering around and allow you to inspect your skin for any others.

Lyme disease is spread by the deer tick but if you remove the tick within 24 hours, you are probably not going to get it.

use deep woods off with DEET or any repellant with DEET.
