If you've missed your period, then I would go ahead and get a blood test at your OB's office. This would tell you for sure. Some HPT's can give false negatives, especially if done too early. Only a blood test will tell you for sure.
Are your breasts tender, or just fuller? Tender breasts are a sign of pregnancy. Do you have any nausea, tiredness, or increased sense of smell? These are also signs of pregnancy. Good luck!

If you have a regular 28 day cycle every single month then you have already missed your period. A pregnancy test should come back positive. HCG hormone only shows up in the blood and urine once the embryo implants into the lining of the uterus. If your period was Aug. 18 and you have a 28 day cycle then waiting a week won't change the results. It will still be negative. If you generally have a longer cycle, 30 to 35 days then you ovulated later and therefore implanted later in your cycle it could still become positive if you wait a few more days to a week before testing again.

I had cramping last week, breast were sore, tired. I really hope when I test this week I'm pregnant! Your symptoms were the same as mine. I hope that's a good sign. If I were you I would the first response test now just to take the edge off. You had your period before me, which means you ovulated before me. I'm going to test today, my period was on the 27th of Aug. and ovulated on the 9th. My period is very precise every month and supposed to show up on the 22nd. The first response test will show up 5 days early! If you go for let me know and i'll let you know the outcome good or sad:).

I would wait, headaches and soar boobs are symptoms of getting your period also. Our minds are very powerful and can cause our periods to be late. Don't be discouraged, It took me 3 months with both of my children to become pregnant. Be patient it will happen. I would wait a week and if you don't have your period take another test if that also comes up negative go to your doc and get a blood test, sometimes those tests just don't work for some people.

these are also symptoms of your period. go to the doctor they can do a blood test that can tell you for sure or not. there is a such thing as a false neg. but if you taken a few then you are probably not. but go to the doctors.

I personally don't like the home pregnancy tests because they can be wrong. I would go see my doctor and go by what he/she tells you not the home pregnancy test.

not to get you down.. but a lot of times when you "think you are" then you will start to "have sypmtoms" try relaxing for a week or so.. then if you still think you are then try another test.. and if still neg. try again To conceive.. :-) good luck..
