Ok this is'nt that big a deal but basically I have a friend coming over later who I used to go to school with and just now she texted me to ask if another friend could also come as well. But the problem is that I don't get on with her (the other friend) at all and I don't know how to say politely to my friend that I don't want the other girl to come!! What should I say so as not to offend my friend???!!!! Also because my phone is broken I can't text her so I would have to call her and tell her it directly!!!

If you have seen this other "friend" recently and felt the same way, then I can understand your dilemma, but if you haven't seen her for a number of years and your dislike of her goes back to your school days, I would say you should give her a chance.
You will both have "grown up" in the last few years and should be able to have an adult conversation without getting into a ***** fight. If it doesn't turn out OK, I guess you'll have to tell your friend that you don't like this other person and that you should have said so when she first asked if she could bring her along.
If you have seen her recently, then I guess you'll just have to "bite the bullet", phone your friend and tell her that the other girl isn't invited.

Just say you were looking forward to having a good chat and going over old things and don't feel you can do that with the other friend there aswell. i.e. say that you won't feel comfortable going into detail with someone there you don't know well enough.

just tell her that you dont want to directly involve your friend in it, but you cant really stomach the other person thats coming and you feel uncomfortable with her being around, so could she please not bring her as you feel you wont be able to spend a nice evening together chatting on old times and stuff

You said it you just need to tell her in a nice way that you don't mind if she comes over but you really don't get along with her friend.That should be enough said.

Either tell her quite frankly that you don't get on with her or just put up with her. Perhaps you should try to get to know her better?
