I want to get my ear pierced,But I HATE pain.Some people say it doesent hurt,but I dont believe it.Whats your opinion??Does It hurt or not??

I have my cartilege pierced on the right side... it HURT LIKE HELL for about six months... but I'm hearing from other people that it only hurt because my tech used a gun instead of a needle for piercing.
Gun = serious pain,
Needle = can't say for sure, but hear it doesn't hurt as bad...

piercing the ear flap does not hurt, it will however beat for a while. the cartalige however will hurt at first, beat as well but you have to follow the cleaning procedures so that it would not get infected. after the first day it does not pain only a bit when you have to turn the earring(everyday)

Ear piercing stings if you do it in the lobe of the ear. It's not bad at all. Cartiledge piercing hurts alot more and makes a really gross sound when the earring punches through.

it doesnt hurt that bad, more like a nipping feeling. the cartalige hurts more thatn the ear, and when I got mine done it bothered me so bad when I was laying down trying to sleep that I took it out, my daughter and I got ours done the same day and her's never bothered her at all.
I have had mine done with a gunand done the other ones I did myslef... that hurts,so get it done with the gun and have someone do it for for!! Good luck!!

Piercing my ears only pinched for a minute. The cartilidge hurt a LOT! (I'm a chicken about pain too)

It was like a bee sting, and when they clean it up, it feels fine... it will be soar for a few days maybe... but you are a guy.. and guys who wear earings are NOT attractive... leave the pretties to the girlies... No girl wants to date a guy who potentially has more holes in his ears, and who is prettier (or trying to be) than she is... be rugged handsome... there's nothing better than a man in tshirt and jeans, no hair gel and if he skipped shaving that day, always good!~!

the worst part about is the soreness that follows during the next week or so. anything that touches you ear will make it hurt, especially the phone

It doesn't really hurt at first, stings a little. It can be a little sore for a bit. sleeping on it was really the only time that it hurt bad for me.

Doing my lobes twice didn't hurt as much as having the cartilage done. It took almost a year for them to fully heal (for me, at least) and I couldn't go to sleep on the side of my head.
