No sitting under the sky and telling your girl friend " thou art as beautiful as a full moon" LOL..

but earth will undergo a drastic change is tides. as we all know the tides occur due to the gravitational pull of the moon. Since no moon, therefore no tide. no tide leads to flooding of land.

Well, the tides of the earth are controlled by the Moon. Ask any sailor. If the moon was destroyed, it depends on how. if it was hit by a gigantic meteor it would effect the earths axis and not only would the moon be gone and our summers hotter and winters even colder, then the earths oceanic waters would be out of controll. Think of a tsunami, .... no, ... think of Noah. That would be about it. But of course that is my idea, nothing more
good luck ;)
The Earth Is ALREADY wobeling like a top. Thats why we have seasons. :) *cheers*

Over time the earth rotation would start to wobble like a top, eventually tumbling randomly. this would cause massive devastation environmentally and ecologically. There also might be some interesting biological effects. Female menstrual cycles could change, animal that navigate by the moon (sea creatures especially) would be disrupted. It's likely we don't know all the effects.

No more romantic evenings

No more of all the stuff about how the full moon affects things (when in reality the Moon is always there, whether lighted by the sun or not, so why should it make a difference?)

No more tides, which will have both positive, and negative, effects.

A

I guess the Earth will be destroyed too by what destroyed the moon.

The moon acts like an outrigger on a boat. If we had no moon the earth would not spin as steady as it does teetering and wobbleing. This would mean summer one day winter the next. Life as we know it would cease to exits.

or maybe all that mass becomes a ring/ moonlet system which allows the romantic plotters to continue as they were while still providing some degree of rotational stability to the Earth
