Why do people have to be so racist about Muslims and Islam?

i just wanna say that Islam IS a peaceful religion...and that all of u people out there that say that Muslim's are so senstive, their not its just that wen u say something bad about a muslim, your saying something bad about half the worlds population...im sick of all this racism just like live them alone, Muslim's are the kindest people apart from the terrorists which make up 0.1 percent of the population

I understand that Muslims who follow Islam are peaceful.

I always remember this about theological studies:

Islam motto is death to the infidel. . . .I guess that means
if you don't follow what they believe, they will kill you.

Unfortunately, the terrorist attacks on United States by fundamentalist Islamic zealots, trying to hide behind religion
for their murders, did not do much for their popular image.

If you don't really analyze it and think about it, it all blurs
into Islam are terrorists for alot of people.

If Muslims are such a kind people why do they not speak out against the terrorists? I have not heard the outrage from the Muslim community EVER about the acts of terrorism. So that leads me to believe at some level they agree with terrorism. I saw Muslims dancing in the streets, US streets, after 9/11. I heard horrible comments of joy from Muslims AFTER 9/11, in the US. Yet I did not here any outcry for the abomination that the terrorists had perpetrated. I heard US Muslims whining that US citizens were racial profiling after 9/11, I heard US Muslims whining that their Mosques were getting vandalized after 9/11, but not once did I here any US Muslim denounce the terrorists for using their religion and besmirching Allah with their vile acts of violence...Shall I go on or are those enough reasons for ya?

Why do muslims have to be so racist to all the rest of us. They keep telling us that they are peaceful people, but if Christians went about the world bombing everyone else in the name of Christianity, there would be a total uproar and Christians would definitely be targets of Muslim criticism. (and more than criticism!) If they are really such peaceful people let's hear them condemning the perpetrators of these atrocities instead of concentrating on attacking us for daring to criticise them!
Get real! They need to be stopped. The pope was proved right in his comments, as the ensuing events , flag burning and worse, proved! Are they really blind to their own culpability or just taking advantage of our "softer" systems of fairness?? Goodness knows, our politicians and other organisations have bent over backwards to accommodate Muslim sensitivities, to the extent that we're not now able to have the traditional things (Open expression of Christian festivals etc.) Stopping our culture doesn't help Muslims, whatever they may feel to the contrary.
Being blind to what is going on will not solve the problem.

Many people have told me that Islam means peace, however no one has been able to explain to me why the Islamic religious book says to convert or slaughter (by the sword) non-Muslim people. I guess the definition of peace is determined by who is wielding the blade.

I also wonder if your numbers are a bit inflated and if not, how many of the Muslim population are members because it was not quite a fate worse than death.

PS Muslim is a religious group not a race.

I don't quite understand it either, just because one nun irresponsibly steps in front of 4 bullets fired by a muslim, and all 0.1 percent of the terrorist happened to be standing there cheering, the civilized world condemns the poor muslim!!!!!!! It's ridiculous, after all they are the most peaceful religion on earth. I can't wait until we're all muslims and live in harmony like they did in Iraq before the great Satin became involved.

Yes, but why aren't Muslims doing anything about that 0.1 % you are talking about, which are dragging your religion through the mud. Instead of telling the police about Muslims that are plotting to murder innocent people, Muslims prefer to say nothing, because they are still considered to be fellow Muslims weather they are plotting or not.
When Muslims say nothing or take no action toward other Muslims in this way, they are just as guilty as the plotters themselves, make no mistake about that.

We are not. But until the "majority" of the Moderate Muslims speak up and renounce the terrorists claiming to be Islamic what is the world to believe? To sit by and passively permit these things to happen in YOUR name (without taking action to stop it)--you're condoning it and therefore supporting it.

Well it's all in how you look at it.
If you read their religion sure they're peaceful with each-other.
If you follow a different Religion then no they are not so peaceful.
It is written in their book of Islam that EVERYONE else is the ENEMY.
Sure they won't strait out tell you that .... their not stupid.
Nor do they really want you to know this.
But hey look on the bright side, most Religions are like that.

islam is peaceful to people that islam considers people. that's the catch-22. they don't tell you who they consider to be people worthy of the peace that islam preaches. they're not exactly lying when they say that islam preaches peace. it does. it preaches peace for other muslims. yeah, half of the world's population. do you really think half of the world was converted by that "peace"? how many people do you know like to convert to oppressive, harsh religions? and, please, ask a muslim about the threats to the u.s. and western culture....western civilization MUST convert to islam or else. or else what? they're going to spread more peace?
