I have a 5 hp 130202 engine that I got from a roto tiller but now I want to put it on a go kart, the big thing on the shaft blocks me from putting the clutch on. My Tiller was made from Mongomery Ward

I assume you are talking about the pulley on rear of crankshaft. If you have the "setscrew" removed (some mioght have a bolt threaded to crankshact instead), - light tapping behind pulley, (also prybar behind other side), WARNING: do not use extreme pressure on prybar, - or hammering! If this does not move it easily, you will need to get a "puller" with sufficient length to reach around pulley, - and still be in line with shaft, - you can rent one from AutoZone type stores or tool rental place for noominal cost! If it uses bolt in end of shaft, make sure you have a bolt with smallenough head on end of shaft to avoid damaging the threads in shaft (you may need them someday in future!) (the tool looks kind of like "ice tongs" with a big bolt in middle pointing towards the "hooks")!
