Yes, isn't that insane? I rack my brain trying to figure out things like this. People do the most incredible things!! I've never done it before and can' t begin to understand what's going on in the mind of people who do this. It's obscene. ...actually I'm just brown nosing it. can I have 10 points?

I do it if I'm with my 3yo son and he asks for a banana before I've finished shopping, so provided I've got a barcoded bag and can't be accused of not paying for something I'm consuming, I see nothing wrong with it.
It is not WORSE when they stash something on a shelf without paying, it it ILLEGAL.
So I would chill out on people who are paying for their goods, whenever they feel like eating them, and ensure that anyone stealing stuff that way is prosecuted.

because you get hungry looking at all that food but i have never opened something and put it back on a shelf that a form of stealing

If they pay for it...I could care less if they do that or not.
If they don't pay for it?...then that's up to store security.
Half open food left sitting on a shelf though...eww..yeah I've seen that too ...gross.

I'll open a bottle of water and drink it if I'm really thirsty, but I pay for it also ~ I couldn't bring myself to steal it ~and get into trouble ~ it's just water.
