If your wife had the affair I doubt very much it was because of your trip. That just gave her the opportunity. Something else led to it. I don't know either of you so I have ZERO idea of what that would be.

Bottom line: I would get some proof of the affair and then decide what you want to do about it. Divorce, counceling, whatever. Ball is in your court. Good luck. Oh and don't go and do anything stupid/illegal, etc. Nail her to the wall if you want to, but do it in court! You'll be MUCH better off that way!

Dude it was just the opportunity for it. I don't know what your marriage is like. But not much of a bestfriend for doing that. I have a few freinds that had the same problem as you. Some of them are still together with their wifes, other divorced.

It sucks big time. Just don't do anything stupid that your going to regret later on. Try to keep a level head through everything. It is easier said than done.

That kind of thing probably happens more than most people realize. Your wife is likely to appreciate the same things about your best friend that you do, so if they spend time together (being of opposite sexes) they are likely to be attracted to each other. I'm sorry this happened to you. Just remember that nobody is perfect, all marriages have problems, and we all make mistakes. You need to find out if these 2 people really love you, if either is worth keeping, and if they are likely to betray you again. Good luck and may God bless you.

Just forgive and move on. Life is way to sure to stay at the same place. If you have to take a deep breath and just let it pass. I read a statistic the other day that more than 50% of the spouses actively participate in extra marital affairs at one time or other. Some time it is just the way it is.

WAIT A MINUTE:

Just a week ago you asked a question about FINDING A WIFE and now you are asking a question that states you have been living with your wife for ONE YEAR?

Your question history suggests somthing isn't on the up and up here.

In any case, I hope all works out for you. I hate to see someone suffer through anything.

How do you KNOW your wife had an affair (hard or not) with your best friend? If she did, your going on a job trip didn't MAKE her do anything.

Your going on the trip didn't make her go with your best friend. It just gave them the opportunity to do what they probably would have done anyway.

Sorry, pal. Looks like you're losing your wife and your friend. It'll be difficult to trust either one of them in the future.

Well, Richy, I gotta tell ya that they probably would have done it anyway.

Some best friend!

Some wife!!

Dump them both and start again with a woman that won't cheat on you, no matter how long you're gone looking for employment.

Time to dump the wife and the friend. You deserve a woman who will stay faithful to you.

Hopefully there are no children involved.

Good luck.
