Probably cheapest at Home Depot, Loew's and Wal-Mart. You may need to go to a nursery for the perlite.

OSH, Lowes or Home Depot, I would suggest OSH for a number of reasons. The big named stores don't always have the qunaity you need. Either small or big bags, since OSH is the HOME and GARDEN store they offer a more wide variety of products. I love going there, its the most wonderful time in OSH

Use the starter that's supplied with the kit. It should have enough nutrients to last awhile. You can use what you bought in a year or so, when you repot. Hope this helps...

they have it at lowes, and home depot. also any local nursery would have it and usually have it all in a mixed bag too
