The best thing you can do for your nails, skin too, is take vitamins.
Any type of multi-vitamin will work. In the meantime, keep your nails short until they grow back strong. And sometimes the cheap nail polish remover can break your nail down, and make them weak. Try one that is a little more expensive...and try to wear your nail polish for a week or so. Constantly taking off nail polish is probably not a good thing. And here's another tip, put on a base coat, let it dry, put on the nail polish, probably 2 coats, then a top coat...that'll make the polish last longer. The base coat, will protect your nail from the actual polish....
hope this helps! =)

Nails don't get weak from polish, but some removers are a little harsh. Are you buffing them several times a week with one of those all-over buffing tools? If so, then stop. Once a week is fine and you are continually taking off layers of your nails. Why not use high quality products and stop wearing at your nails all the time. Once a week with a touch up or maybe twice a week for a total polish change is good.
Keep your cuticles pusched back once a week so new growth is free.
Avon has a dynamite new product out. It is NOT a "press-on", but smoothes on and stays forever. It is like those little "colorform" toys we played with. No chemicals at all.
Change in nails comes from within - nutrician. How has your diet changed? Are you also having problems with your hair and skin? Jello is good, but a diet rich in vitamins would help. If you are doing illegal drugs, stop. Those deplete your body big-time.

Sally Hanson nail care stuff. They do wonders; worth the $$ IMHO. Here are some nail care tips after your nails are stronger.
- Do not use nail polish every week. Give your nails alternate week rests. Eg. Week 1 - Nail polish, Wk 2 - No polish, Wk 3 - Nail polish, and so on.
- Try not to file or buff your nails often, esp since you have weak nails.
- Do not use nail polish remover more than once a week.
Am not sure how to quicken nail growth.

I don't make a fuss over my nails and they grow fine. Sally Hansen works well. Also get a good supply of calcium and use a nail polish remover with lanolin that moisturizes your nail. Also i have found that placing bits of garlic in clear nail polish also helps with growth and strength. But it is up to you to take the smell.
You also need to look at if the environment that you are in. If you constantly work with your hands your nails will be brittle.

Get a manicure everyweek and tell them your problem or go buy cuticle oil and a nail strengthener. And i'm not talking about the nail polish nail strengthener. They don't work. Go buy something like a solution to harden your nails and start taking a multivitamin. this is what i did and it worked.

There's this nail hardener and thing to make nails grow faster called "Witchcraft". I always use it after I use the nail polish remover, cause my nails look really bad later. But after I use "Witchcraft" my nails grow long and strong.

Vitamin E is good for hair and nails. I always have at least clear nail polish on my nails. If I don't, then if they get wet they start to peel and flake. When you buy nail polish remover, make sure it is acetone free. I know nail salons use the acetone nail polish remover, but it is harsh on your nails.
