I have to choose from the following producers: Asus, LG, Philips, Plextor and Teac. I could really use a little help.
The model doesn't really matter, but the producer. I'll take care of the details when I'll go buy it :D.

I see i was misunderstood. I frequently use Nero for burning CDs. The questios refers to the HARDWARE producers, not the software ones.

Buy NEC. You will never regret. Coz its originally an Optical medai producer. Or else Asus is also good. Mitsubishi is also perfect

They are all the same physically, though I do have quelps about Sony's blanks, perhaps even the drives are of questionable setup?
Since they are likely from same factory in China, I will stay away from higher price "premium brands".

If u want in hardwre it should be LG or Samsung writer\burner.
in software it is Nero.

close your eyes and pick one. they are all the same. If you are choosy then pick the more expensive one. There is really no difference in the products of the same price range. Just your choice.

the better way is to write your DVD orVCD by using NERO START SMART or by using SONIC RECORD NOW.
