I'm a pilot so this may help... Right when the aircraft lands the pressure inside the cabin changes. So if you get a head ache and your eyes hurt it is because your sinus are blocked...there are many techniques in fixing this...you can chew gum, try to yawn, swallow, your even take a decongestant. Or the best way is to do a term called "Valsalva" it is when you hold your nose and blow out...this will regulate the pressure in your head thus clearing your sinuses. Try those out I know it can be painful so if you fell you have a head cold is can be painful and sometimes dangerous to fly. Try those teqniues out they should help. Heres a web site to look at too.

The pilot gave the right treatment but didn't get the right anatomical structure correct. The pressure on either side of the tympanic membrane must be equalized.. this is the result of the pressure being greater on the outer aspect of the eardrum when the air pressure in the cabin is increased on landing...When you are in the air, the air pressure is set for 7,000 feet. It returns to the level at the airport which you are landing on. This is why yawning is the procedural practice or chewing gum.

The actual structure involved is the Eustachian tube. going to the inner ear. This is where the equalization of pressure is involved, not the sinuses.

It is probably dehydration. Pressurized cabins dehydrate the air and rob the eyes of moisture. Drink plenty of fluids. Use eye drops. Don't read for too long at a stretch.

RELAX! It's probably cabin pressure or something. Ask the stewardess for something to drink like a tea (decaf). This is common. Just try to relax cause if you stay tense, the symptoms may get worst.
